Very good, catfish and shrimp was better than I expected. Usually dont order any kind of seafood this far from the water, but a few reviews said how good it was and they were right. It does take a little while, but well worth the wait.
The food is always good here and the staff is friendly
Always goid food and good service
We love Keith's and the service is great. The food is fresh!
Just wanted to throw a shout out to Michelle for her perfect customer service, Good food always tastes better when you have good service!! Thanks again
Great steak dinner. My problem is they didn’t make sure that my order is complete. Got home with dinner 10 minutes to close and tried to call but no answer. Thanks paid $40 to two steak finger dinners. I would understand if they were busy. But I was the only person in the drive through.
Nice place but..the burger, while edible and hot was a little bland, much like Sonic. The fries were very good. The cobbler was very good, wish it was warm. Steak fingers good, but the jalapeno gravy was not good.
Decided to try the beef tips, very satisfying.
Their chicken strips and steak fingers are way better than the hamburgers
Ordered meatloaf plate, was so dry, potatoes cold, chicken spaghetti was good too big portions. They charge $2 extra for fire roasted corn, not worth it overwhelming with red peppers. Totally the worst $35 dollars we spent. Definitely wont go back.
Just got to Odessa on a medical contract and discovered this gem when I entered town. Boy am I glad....service was 💣 just like the food...I'll frequent this place anytime I get the chance... excellent
Some of the worst service in Midessa area. Waited 30 min for order and then had to wait 10 more to find out they didn’t have corn dogs. If it wasn’t for the food tasting good even while cold it would have been a one star review. Very disappointed in this location.
Got my hamburger order wrong. A hamburger.there is no barbs served here if you were wondering
Good food but don't expect anything soul reaching. Price a lil high but portions size compensate for it. Will come back to try burgers.
Very good Southern soul Food
I was expecting so much more. I have read really great things about this restaurant but I was sadly disappointed. First off they were out of all sides but they don't tell you till after you order. I had to go to the counter three times for them to tell me they were out of things. I know it was Friday (late afternoon) but really? I ordered the chicken spaghetti which was really really dry and I ended up with corn and salad for my sides. The corn was actually really good but not what I was wanting. I didn't get the food I wanted and my kids didn't get the food they wanted. I don't believe I would give this place a second chance.
I feel ripped off. Portions are incredibly small. Prices are too high for what you get. Food was cold. If you want the original Keith‘s experience, do not go to this location go to the one located on Andrews highway in Odessa across from the Colosseum. I don’t think this place is going to make it.
It was ok...they said soul food and im from Louisiana im lookong like where...but noooooooo..it was ok...least i can say i tried it but i wont be back
Food takes forever, even when it's not rush hour. They start closing down the lobby 2 hours before closing. Neither toilet in the women's restroom works. One was full of toilet paper and the other was full of urine that had obviously been there for a few hours. No hot water in the bathrooms. Uh,hello? Health department?
Steakfingers.....Great!Gumbo.....GoodMeatloaf.....BAD! :(That's all I've tried from there.
The catfish was really good and crispy. But the Mac and cheese was thick and strong. Not homemade and it seemed like they didn't add milk. Too strong. The corn was overcooked and mushy. I was hungry and thought this was an authentic soul food restaurant. 👎
This is my first time in Odessa and Texas Soul Cafe is one of the first places I've tried here and I'm extremely disappointed. I write this as I look at this food. First the prices are ridiculous and I will tell you why. 12.98 for decent meatloaf, excessively watery mac and cheese and yams that did not look like the picture at all?? The yams and macaroni were absolutely disgusting. Not to mention the cornbread tastes as if someone didnt mix the batter all the way and tasted sour. This is NOT SOUL FOOD. You cannot claim to be soul if your mac is watery. I will definitely not come back to this poor excuse of a restaurant. Save your money and go elsewhere. 7/31/19
I loooovvvve this place! Shrimp and grits for my husband. A burger with fries for myself both was worth every penny. Great atmosphere and very nice people. Go get you some!
Meatloaf, drink and Dessert 20 bucks. I'll go to Furrs next time.
Fish & Fries we're good.. hubby didn't care for chic. Spaghetti ( guess mines better! No offense😉)
Not really a cafe at all. It's more like a hamburger joint, with very ordinary hamburgers. The lady who served us was very friendly and helpful. The cashier was grumpy.
Loved the place on Grandview. No idea why they're on 191 sharing space with a mediocre burger place. Should have their own space so they can expand their menu and crazy hours of op. Needless to say, they do deliver which satisfies my shrimp and grits, cornbread, and gumbo need from this place. Would eat here every day if they weren't so far. Alas.
This is in conjunction with Keith's Hamburger Station. The food is already excellent and the steak fingers are borderline legendary. The fried catfish is consistently outstanding.
This was my first time there. I ordered the steak fingers plate. I got mashed instead of French fries. It was very good. Reminded me years ago of being in Albuquerque. Only thing they might want to do, is add different substitute sweeteners beside the pink stuff.
Great streak fingers. Good burgers. I plan on going back to try other things on the menu. It gets pretty crowded and there can be a bit of a wait at lunch time. All in all a good place to eat.
I normally go inside and order and dine in. The food is always fresh the service is always good. This time I went through the drive thru with a co-worker. We were trying to avoid the long line and wait from another place. The line was short but the wait was long. No drive thru for me.
First time I went here they were out of 60% of the food on the menu, but the owner made it right before we left by giving us extra portions of other food as well as giving us some gift cards and told us to come back again. Food was okay although I cant say it tasted like true soul food.
I ordered 1\4 lb hamburger, French fries, and a drink. I thought that by the way the dining room and fancy building the burger would be a little better. Sonic makes a better burger. The patty seemed thin like sliced deli meat. It tasted ok if you like bun, tomato, onion, everything but beef, etc sandwich.I saw that this place has so much other food. I will be back soon to have dinner again. It is clean, friendly, New building.
Laurenda always has a very welcoming spirit. Nice, fresh cooked meals. Reasonable with no waiting.
Great steak fingers as usual! Also, dirty tables and floor as usual!
Food is everything!!! And by combining it with Texas SoulCafe, Sweet Baby Jesus! The only thing, as always in West Texas; Fly's.
Good food and very consistent. Slow service, so don't come if you're in a hurry. It is worth the wait if you've got the time.
Thank god this is open still. get my sooouul food ons!
It's a little out of the way for normal folk and the wait for food is a bit long both drive-thru and dine-in, but after the wait and the drive the food is great the right amount of veggies on a burger(my opinion).
It is always freezing inside. Not the place to go when it is cold outside. We love the steak fingers, but they are not worth sitting in a refrigerator. Not sure who is suppose to clean tables etc, but in the evenings they are always dirty.
I never thought the closest place to a "Soul" food joint in West Texas would be in Odessa. But I have to say I was very impressed and ate here the 3 nights I stayed there. And shout out to the front counter girl Ariel K. She was really nice and very helpful.
Wasn’t the best for sure. Close but not that great😟
Home cooked meal, not fast food, excellent food and large portions!Cornbread was kickin'Meatloaf was perfect But best of all was the staff, everyone was happy, clean and the team work was NBA caliber!!Give them all a bonus!!
8/19/2019 Food was freshly made and hot. I'm from Houston Tx. And I'm a driver and I try a lot of places but I must say that I was impressed by the food.. But the $38 was a little bit to high for 2 chicken fried steak dinner, to be eating off of paper plates. #IJS
Awesome food. Shrimp and grits are fantastic. The beef tips and rice also great.
Meatloaf and chicken fried steak are both top notch!
Great location even though the parking lot is inconveniently arranged. Only one entrance. The steak sandwich was bland and the "spicy" fries weren't.
Love their catfish and steak fingers
This place is amazing! Always quick, friendly customer service and the food never disappoints! A little pricey but honestly worth it!
Very good food with great portions. Can't go wrong with the steak fingers or hamburgers.
